So I bought a blendmount for my F80 M3 a few years ago. A couple cars later I am back in a BMW (M340xi). So I am trying to use my existing blendmount thinking it may work since its the same RD and still a BMW.
The problem I am having is that the lower part of the mount runs in to the underside of the mirror. I am thinking I need a spacer of some sort at at the connection shown by the red arrows in the picture, wouldn't need to be more than 1cm. That would drop down the RD enough to clear the mirror. The spacer would need to have two hole running through it for the adjustment/installation bolts. Anyone have any good ideas on this? P/N of Blendmount: BND-2017

No idea. 2018 is the right model for the G20, it's what I put in mine. Why not just get the right one and sell yours?

I have one just call Blendmount and tell them what you need.
It doesn't help when you post in the wrong place. Last edited by MurrayB; 04-07-2020 at 08:45 PM.. |

I have an Escort Max 360c so I ordered the BMG-2018.
When I installed it, the radar detector sat too low and sat too far forward. So there was too much room between the bottom of the my mirror and the top of the radar detector + the radar detector was sitting so far forward that I couldn't fully see the display without craning my neck a little bit. It looked out of place. I reached out to blendmount and they sent me an alternate part to help make it look a little better. The part they sent is the piece that allows the detector to swing forward or backward. Now, with this different part, the fit looks better. Pictures BEFORE I had the replacement part.... Just curious, did the blend mount limit how much you can move your mirror? When I installed mine in my g20 it wouldn't let me move the mirror enough for me to see out of it properly. Just curious if there's any work arounds for that.
