G20 ESys coding causing system failures
Hi all,
Anyone else experienced issues with system failing after coding. I added 2VB (TPMS) to my car to use the tyre pressure sensors. Since I was unsure which ECUs needed recoding, I recoded all ECUs. I was also trying out the 3AC (Trailer Hitch) as I'd added a towbar and 3rd party ECU controller. But now, my Parking Assistance is always a failure. All the senors and cameras are working, but the Assistance says its failed. I tried another recode, and now Driver Assistance is also in error. Using ISTA+ it suggests an ethernet failure, but no idea how to resolve this, or why a recode could cause this. Anyone else had issues like this when coding? |

Well its all relative...
I finally took my car to BMW to get it sorted, and found that ALL the issues related to power loss. Because I had disconnected the battery to install the towbar wiring, it decided to cause lots of faults. So it seems it wasn't related to the coding at all, but the fact the battery had been disconnected. A bit of a concern for the next time anyone needs to disconnect the battery |
