I just depends on the model and you can check out the Wiki on the company to see what differences there were on previous models. Generally it's not a M engine swap but a higher tuned version of the engine the car came with. Though they have done M engine swaps before. They also have small changes to the exterior and the interiors usually use higher quality material, primarily the leather used.

M breeds for sport and power Alpina breeds for luxury and drive-ability comfort They are very different brands with different goals, while both based off a "base model" variant, they are given totally different treatment based on the brand's design philosophy. Very different cars - we have both in my family |

No. Or not for awhile. Article mentions their clientele isn't interested in electric.

Always love Alpina products. Cannot wait to see the final product. I wish they BMW would bring their 3 and 4 series here to the US. Even in very limited numbers.

Alpina should've used the non-M Sport kit instead.

I don't think the 4-Series' "aesthetic" fits with the typical Alpina look/theme.

Unlike the 3 series the donor car 4 series is not prettier than the M4.
I'd take the M4 over the B4 just because the 4/B4's snout is such a fail. I have literally seen only two 4 series on the road since they were launched. This time after the last 4 series launch they were everywhere. |

They're whole kind of gist is adding power and torque but also more comfort and aero/design and wheels. They don't really classify themselves as what BMW M does where they make everything more power, more stiffness and less comfort.
