Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm looking to install a front splitter on the 2020 m340i and was wondering if drilling would be required? It's a lease so I'm a bit worried!

Yes typically some self tapping screws are used to secure the front lip / splitter - but keep in mind this is the same way the oem part is installed at your dealer or port (albeit with some glue as well) / it will be a non-issue with your lease.

A few small holes in the black plastic under your front bumper will not make a difference come turn in time
