Totally agree! I didn't get the convertible but mine is black on black on black as well and it is one mean looking beast... especially when clean! LOL! I got it ceramic coated... highly recommend if you haven't looked into it!

Every time I try to go away from a Black car I regret it later. Last two cars were white and gray and I regretted it after. Now back in Black

Various reviewers will answer "about three to four grand". The most obvious difference is the hatch which for me personally was a deal breaker. Any car needed to be able to easily carry bikes, computers with large monitors and other stuff that simply won't fit in the boot of a 3 series saloon. It's replacing a G01 X3 which has been perfect as an active family car (following two F25 X3s before it).

Subsequent comments are based on everything I've read and watched, which has verged on being obsessive.
- The G26 is apparently stiffer and lower to the ground
- It's also longer and taller. Yeah taller! I had to double check that when I first read it.
- The G26 is heavier and less aerodynamic (!) than the G20 which makes the G26 fractionally slower and less economical.

For me personally, the decision came down to the following:
1. Vehicle availability - I placed my order less than 7 weeks ago and the car is with me already.
2. Option availability - I really wanted another X3 but I simply couldn't get one with some of the options I consider a basic necessity e.g. decent audio system.
3. Discount - I made a substantial saving which I believe narrowed the premium over the G20 to something like £1000 to £1500
4. Financing - BMW have been offering 2.9% APR on 4 series which is less than inflation. Other models were 3.9% and higher.

I really like the look of the G26 although it does seem that colour and trim can make it look radically different. The name's not appropriate really though ... surely it's more of a GT than any form of coupe?

Availability is I think the biggest at the moment, and I guess the G26 has less demand than some other models.

I have non resonated which makes it perfect imo especially if you have a downpipe.
