All NA models should come with mild hybrid I believe!

Does anyone know if eBoost function with mild hybrid will work in manual mode?

I'll check on my M340i later today, but I believe so.

All 440i are MH, doesn't matter where there were built or sold.

Don't confuse mild hybrid with a full-up hybrid drive-train.

The mild hybrid has a 2nd (48 volt) battery, a combination alternator/starter, and some unique energy management features. Due to the 11hp boost provided by the mild hybrid motor it should be slightly faster than the ICE-only M340i's, but I've never seen any head-to-head comparison.

It is supposed to also have a smoother Auto-Start-Stop system and a slight improvement in gas mileage due to a more advanced regenerative braking system.

Mine has not shown the function and the User's Manual says some models might not have the Hybrid Motor... but also it is true that the User's Manual is good for many 4 models. I opened the hood to find out the Hybrid Motor and seems it is not there.

To answer your question, yes. eBoost does work in manual mode.

BMW is discrete with their Mild Hybrid system. 2 ways to check if your car has it.

1. Does your car have a button on the center console that allows you to disable auto start/stop? (If it doesn't, you have the Mild Hybrid system.)
2. When in ECO PRO mode, does your car turn off the engine when you're at speed and take your foot off the throttle? (If it does, you have the Mild Hybrid system.)

When you open the hood, if you see thick purple cables, that's the 48 volt hybrid battery.

My car has the button that disables the start/stop. Also I have not seen the engine to really stop in ECO PRO, I have not paid attention, yet.

And, no purple cables under the hood.

Interesting. Can you post a pic of this? This is intriguing to me that your car might not actually have the Mild Hybrid system.

Is it an F32 with an M badge added to the model designation on the back? 😂

Post some pics if you can

All m440 and m340, 540 x5 40i sold in Australia and China have no MH system. Not sure about Mexico and other countries. Believe MH is an expensive system so BMW does not want to provide to all the markets.

In Spain my M340i has 374hp, with the 11hp motor does that mean that I actually have 385hp ???

Another difference, is that my car is stated with 387 hp and no mention about the MH.

Here is the data that is given in Mexico and in Spanish, obviously, does not comment about the MH system.

Ok, confirmed by a BMW salesman in Mexico (the one who sold it to me, lol)... no Mild Hybrid, and for some reason, the HP is 387 with this M440i 2022 here. It drives like a beauty.

I’m about to buy one also here in Mexico so no mild hybrid but better HP, do they tune the motor a bit more aggressive?

my M340i has a mild hybrid but i have no idea what it does other than take up weight. also have no idea where it's placed - i thought it was in the engine bay nearest to the front passenger but the triangle space there is empty.

it doesn't allow you to run sound system and A/C from the 48V battery which is the only thing i want to do with it!

Take the HP rating, wherever you buy the car, as a rough estimate. BMW underrates it on purpose

The B58TU in the 340/440 is about 440hp when rated like you would see normally. At the wheels it's prob around that 380ish mark.

The mild hybrid does a lot of things RTFM
