Bump from BMW Spot Paint

Had someone try to fix paint chip and there is noticeable bump.

Any recommendations on how I can fix the bump and paint it myself? Is it even possible with no bump?

Maybe try a good quality lightweight rubbing compound suited to clearcoat finishes first (Meguiars, Mothers etc) to just see if you can buff it down to flat assuming visually it otherwise looks good.

Definitely use rubbing polishing compound to carefully remove the bump. You are going to need a few different grits to do it with. You can either use a powered polisher or you can get hand held sponges for the compound.

BMW touch up is garbage get Dr. Color Chip instead.

+1. I've used Dr Color Chip on my current & past BMWs, as well as my wife's Acura. It's easy to use & a perfect color match!
