Sorry if this thread has been made before. Just curious to see if anybody wished they opted for Mineral White instead of alpine. Or vice versa. Seeing pics of that MW sparkle and depth makes me wonder if I should have spent the $500 for it. Although AW is classic bmw.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

I like solid color, so AW looks better than MW to me.

Alpine White is a very pure white and I like it better than MW.

I liked Mineral White when I had it. But really can't go wrong with either.

I've had both and you can't go wrong with either. AW Is clean and classic looking and MW is more upscale and prettier, just a matter of what you like.

My 2006 E90 was Alpine White, for a change I got MW for my 2021 M340i and I really like the added metallic although I know if I ever need bodywork AW would be a lot easier to match than MW

Appreciate the replies everyone! Looks like there is no wrong choice, both paint look fantastic in their own way. Although, I've got to say MW is definitely tempting for my next car

To be honest, if you dont mind the $500, then go with MW. at least you will look somewhat different from the sea of AW BMWs on the road. The only you and the selected few would notice your MW is different than AW

For day to day use, they are all just white...

I have AW, after a while, it is just white like any other white i see on the road.

I've had a total of 7 AW BMW's the past 8 years.

AW F30 328i
AW F30 340i
AW i3 REx
AW i3 REx
AW i3 BEV
AW F80 M3
and now a AW G82 M4 Competition on order.

Never once did I regret it. It's the signature BMW color.

I tend to think solid colors like AW and JB are classic BMW colors.

Solid red also qualifies but I don't know which ones out of 16 red colors are non-metallic.

Yeah this link says there are several solid reds:

brilliant red
mugello red
tizian red
cinnamon red
henna red
corral red
carmine red
fashion red 2

There is only one solid black (JB) but several solid whites too:

Alpine white I/II/III
chamonix white
ice white

I got MW on my M340i and I love it. When the car is washed it gives it a very nice pearly looking white and when the sun is shining it looks even better.

I get a lot of complements and looks when the car is washed. It also glistens which makes it look even better.

Personally I think the MW puts this car in another class. It just looks sublime IMHO. Even at night time it stands out. This is obviously a subjective topic but I'm not so certain a "classic" color necessarily means it's better.

Oh definitely! I get classy/luxury vibes from mineral white and classic and sporty from alpine. Had a similar white metallic paint on my Camry xse and it was beautiful. I miss it (color, not the car)

Yep. To be clear, MW still retains a sporty appeal, yet also exudes class.

AW owner and I wish I had gotten MW. I didn't know better and leased a car off the lot. Now I know much better Won't make the same mistake again. AW is nice but MW is next level.

I chose AW because none of the reasonably available colors blew my mind. (I'd murder for Verde Ermes... but not gonna pay 5k for it.) I was contemplating on sunset orange but then chickened out.
After that it was easy to pick the cheapest option. I know $500 isn't much for a color that you want, but if it's meh anyway it's just going to add up. I like the clean blank slate look.
One think you might want to consider if you happen to care about that, that probably there's a whole lot more AWs out there then MWs. I personally don't mind and there's not a whole lot of BMWs (at least non SUV) around here. Yet, just today I parked in good company:
