Brake pads for M340i

Hi guys!
Think about change my brake pads for more powerfull.
Someone change stock brake pads for tune ? Is there a difference in braking? Bcs at first think about brake change from 348 to 376, but now think maybe better change brake pads for more powerfull & agressive ?
I dont need track pads, only street.

I have been contemplating the replacement of my original pads as well but there does not seem to be a lot of supporting information/reviews from actual owners who have replaced their pads. Most of the discussions are related to ceramic vs standard material to help assist with reduction of dust on their wheels. I have used Hawk on previous vehicles with positive results, the same with EBC.

Anyone out there have any real world experience with aftermarket brake pads?

OEM brake pads are the same as those that come with the vehicle. The friction material on the brake pads may be organic, semi-metallic, or ceramic. Brand-name aftermarket pads are just as good — and sometimes better — than OEM. Don't waste money.

The best price I found online recently from somewhere local is $580 for the mx72+ front and rear. But if you order them from japan they are a lot cheaper or possibly another seller. Let me know if you find any competitive prices

Hawk 5.0 part numbers for M340i:
F: Hawk HB916B.740
R:HB917B.626

I assume these should still be the same if you have the ZTK cooling package even though the rotors are bigger with the cooling package?

Do you by chance have these Hawk options on your vehicle currently? Would be nice to receive some feedback from an actual end user - I'm not insinuating your not an actual end user 😎😎

Sounds good - a comparison between the Hawk and EBC would be great!

Will do, so far the yellows are good for braking. soft for driving around town but bite when you step on it hard. i need something that has a harder grab and wont fade that much. After being tuned the car accelerates pretty quick so i need that extra stopping power in any situation. i also have slotted/vented rotors. should have some reviews up by tomorrow evening.

I appreciate the information! I agree, these cars are quick stock then you go and install a tune and a few bolt on's and it gets insane. I definitely can see where you would need additional braking power.

If you don't mind me asking what rotors do you have installed? Any pictures? I am contemplating rotor replacement but have not had much luck in locating aftermarket replacement options.
