New tire fitment

I am currently in the process of replacing my stock runflats on a staggered setup with stock wheels.

I have seen both people stating that you cannot run larger then 225/255 stock setup on stock rims because the larger size is not within 1% of the stock diameter.

I have also seen people say that you can run say 235/265 setup because the diameter of those are within 1% of each other front to back.

Which is the actual rule to go by for a 2023 xdrive on stock wheels?

Plug in your 2 sizes to compare, you shouldn’t have a diameter/circumference over 1%. Closer to 0 the better

Possible combinations that work for 19”
225/40 + 255/35 (.4%)(8.5” rear rim)
235/40 + 265/35 (.4%) (9” rear rim)
245/40 + 275/35 (.4%) (9.5” rear rim)
