Instead of posting incorrect information and confusing people, I suggest you have a look at the UK online configurator. Below is a screen shot. If you spec an M340i, it even has the red calipers configured by default. You can then switch to blue calipers as a no-cost option.
The grabs I posted were from the UK configurator, 330e.

So please don't tell me that what I posted isn't true, and that I'm getting confused.

That's for a 330e. The OP is ordering an M340i and the discussion is for the M340i. It's literally in the thread title.

Yep - so we've established that it's model dependent.

Great to know.

Thanks for being so friendly.

You started it by saying "like I said" and not listening to what people were saying. Seeing as the thread specifically mentions M340i, it would seem obvious what we were talking about. I even posted a screen shot of the UK configurator but you still wouldn't listen.

But anyway, I can see where the confusion lies if it varies by model.

Different tuning probably as a result of the 48v mild hybrid addition for 2021. No more pops and burbles lol

Everyone says it's software. Check the threads on the B58 forum.

I orded my M340i with Red Calipers ( Portimao blue, Cognac Interior and 719M wheels with shadowline) - I can't wait to see how it looks in person since so far I've only seen the rendering on the website.

Everyone's here debating red vs blue and I'm over here like "I wish I could have opted for yellow..."

I have blue which is fine, matches the Tanzanite Blue or at least goes well with it, but I was strongly debating on having them repainted yellow once I do the first brake job.

With Mineral Grey I would definitely go red. Yesterday I took delivery of my Oxide Grey 330e Touring, and I chose red.

[/QUOTE]

That oxide grey is stunning! You guys across the pond get all the good colors (or colours, if you prefer).

I agree with what most have said, red will pop more on Mineral Gray. I also just put in my order for MG with the shadowline package.

Red callipers with mineral white is great too and if you are able to spec red seats, they link up. I have a G22 in build with the Fiona Red / Black extended leather and am expecting (hoping) for an excellent look. Blue callipers would have been a clash. Pics will follow, hopefully next month.

I love Oxide Grey - wondering whether I should have gone for it rather than my rather common Tanzanite!?

My vote is red. It works with most colors best. Just my 2 cents

I've got blue on my oxide gray G21 330e.
Red is too standard for me on all cars and blue is a nice change, especially for bmw imho.
it also is a nice combo with the laser light being blue striped
