Sorry- I thought it was in there. My understanding is that you close the purchase at your dealer (not at the performance center) and are required to bring certain paperwork with you to the center. Others with experience will chime in, I hope.

No worries! Yes, I've seen that information. Just trying to get as much info together as I can because I have to get time off of work and we're making a mini vacation out of it so will make hotel arrangements in savannah on way home.

Sounds great! We envy you and would like to do the same, but we only have one car while we're waiting, and not sure we want to add another 2 weeks to the process.

No the FAQs do not address your question.....you have to arrive at PCD with the vehicle registration and plates as well as proof of insurance...

In other words....you do the paperwork and pay your dealership before you get on the plane...

My car is still listed as ready to transport and has been since 8/24. Called genius and he said they're really backed up at the port. Sounds like next week it could actually get on a ship.

Just called genius and I'm still sitting at "ready to transport". Tomorrow it will be 21 days in that same position. No stop sales either.

the rep I spoke to today said they probably have a bunch of cars at port due to stop sales etc tec.. and they must not have space to bring new cars

I'm sure they're still packing those ships full of cars though. Doesn't make sense to send partially filled ships.

Even though car has been ready to transport for 3 weeks according to bmw genius, on website it was still listed as final assembly. Today it actually changed on website to ready for transport so maybe it's a good sign......

I’ve gotten really pathological and I’ve been checking the shipping schedules from Bremerhaven to Baltimore (this was the route my car took back in June when they built it with the wrong rims). Do with it what you will…

Sort of... I know it's a Mexico build just not sure what port. Ive seen that ship is scheduled to leave Veracruz on 9/20 but figuring out if it gets on that ship is just a guessing game. I'm with you.. I'm always looking for info trying to figure it out lol

lol I dont wana burst your bubble.. but i was told that since 8/20... actually ive been told different things... "your car is in transit to the port", "your car still at the factory ready for transport", "theres no space at the port thats why it hasnt moved", "your car is being transported by train" LOL at the last one.

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only thing I can think on my end though is car never changed to any other processes until yesterday. Time will tell...

Mine today finally got an image instead of the grayed out version of the car. So .. at least I can look at that nice blue color now…

Maybe it’s means at least some level of activity has changed.. further down the process somehow.

Personally I’m kind of hoping it doesn’t land at my dealer til October 1 and there are some incentives in place.
