M340i MPE Pricing in Canada
So I picked up a 2021 M340i xDrive, and I must say, I miss the sounds of my 2018 340i with MPPSK... the 2021 is so quiet, but there is lots on that on the forms.... now wondering if anyone here had any luck purchasing MPE after delivery? pricing? advice?

Yes just go to your dealership and order it. In Canada it's about $1,600 if I remember correctly.

The exhaust is available from Canadian BMW Dealers parts departments as a separate part. When I last checked they were in stock and available from the Ontario warehouse.
The part number on the physical muffler is when I crawled under an MPE was: 1 830 2 464 493 But if I recall correctly the kit part # (which may have a little more tubing or clamps etc.) is: 1 830 2 464 492 Thought the pricing was closer to $1.8k to $2k CAD range, but can't remember exactly. |

Dug up the link for anyone curious - https://shop.bmw.ca/p/BMW_2021_M340i...302464492.html
Do dealers ever knock off 10-20% on stuff like this? |

I don't remember exactly but I think it was $1600 or $1700 installed. Definitely worth it!

Pfaff BMW in Mississauga. I was their first M340i to have the MPE installed. They didn't even have a standard rate set up at that point. I've heard that they do charge more now (both for the part and install).

15% off was best I could find. 3/5 dealers I phoned wouldn't do anything off the book price ($2,340). The other offered to match if a quote could be provided.
I did not have notable history at any of the dealers beyond a couple service/warranty visits. Book price for install now is 1.7 hours at $180 shop rate. Didn't attempt to negotiate or shop that. Likely going to a mutual friend's referral or doing it myself over the holidays. But I imagine any brake & muffler shop could comfortably do it in an hour (correct me if I'm wrong). |

I couldn't fit the stock exhaust in the trunk (seats down). You could probably figure it out but I didn't have any blankets to cover things up. I picked it up later with a friend's truck.

I'm trying to find this exhaust, but I'm definitely not paying 3k... that's insane
I was going to go AWE, but I think it will be too loud, and I'll lose the valves. Pretty sad when a FULL exhaust is only a couple bucks more |

$4k?? For a muffler. You could buy a full aftermarket exhaust that probably sounds better for that price. The MPE is good but not that good.
