Have people who added in the parking assistance package for the MY22s m340i been able to add and keep it on their builds after production?

I ordered a 2022 430i Convertible with Parking Asst Pkg, this package had to be removed before BMW system would accept the order for production, I was informed it was no longer available.

I thought I read in another thread it’s available for the ‘40 models but not the ‘30’s.

I was able to add it to my 2022 M440i. Car is arriving on our shores tomorrow so I don't know if they'll have to hold it to retrofit the cameras though.

I have a MY 22 M340i xDrive build week 31 on order. The order was placed right as BMW was switching over to MY 22. While both my Vehicle Inquiry Report and MyBMW show the Parking Assistance Package on the build, I'm pretty certain it will NOT be included because it is not available and this is just an artifact as they switched over model years.

After reading this thread and ordering yesterday, 8/9 I asked my SA to add it to the VIR. He easily did, but didn't confirm or not, that it would be included.

For some of you that have also added it, do your SA's confirm it will be added to the build and actually show up? Have they confirmed with the factory?

I'm a bit skeptical that it really will be included. I have no proof either way, and hope it is included.

I guess we'll know for sure when the first 2022 shows up.

I spoke with the genius line today and was told the Parking Assistance Package was indeed installed on my car per the VIR. I asked him how that could be since it's not listed in the MY 22 Order Guide. He said my car "made the cut" which I guess means there were leftover parts from the 21s. I'm still very skeptical but should have a definitive answer in a couple weeks.

That's interesting because it's shown as NC(no charge) on the VIR. Please keep us posted!

Will do. Part of the reason I'm skeptical is because it is listed as no charge on the VIR. But if BMW wants to throw it in gratis, you won't hear a complaint from me.

Today I picked up my '21 M340i that I ordered 6/23 and finished production(Final Assembly) on 7/15. My vehicle did keep the parking package. Works great, too.

D'oh, just saw this is for '22 MY. I knew Prez ordered a 21 so I guess I just ignored the 22 in the title

One more hint. I ran my VIN through mdecoder.com just now which is fully populated with the specs from my VIR and under under the Driving Assistance And Lighting Section, it says "S5DN Parking Assistance System Plus".

I was heavily debating just ordering a MY22 with parking package since I didn't know how long it would take my car to be released but wasn't sure if the MY22 would include parking assistance since it was removed from the build-your-own. But turns out, I don't need to wait much longer since it finished the work order yesterday and is due to be released soon.

Should have clarified, have ordered a MY21 and was waiting on it but was debating ordering the MY22 since it was taking so long. The MY22 has perforated seats and standard enhanced bluetooth so figured if I was going to wait a while, might as well go for a newer model year.

How can BMW charge you for something listed as NC on the VIR and where they don't have a price listed for it in the pricing guide?

I ordered a 2022 m340i back in June. Called today and genius told me that parking package is on my build. It's listed as NC so I guess only way to know for sure is when vehicle is delivered.

That's encouraging. Do you also see the items and codes listed below the "S5DN"? Like ZX3, Surround View w/3D View?

That detail does not show on the VIN decoder but is listed on my VIR (see my post above) and on MyBMW.

Here is some further evidence to support the Parking Assistance System Plus being included as standard equipment on U.S. spec 2022 M340's. I ran the VIN of a random 2022 M340 showing in the inventory of a BMW Dealer through mdecoder.com and sure enough "S5DN Parking Assistance System" is listed just as it is when I run my VIN.

I'll have a definitive answer on Saturday morning when I pick up my car.

THAT is good to hear. You may be the first delivered 2022 340 to confirm it was included.

Enjoy the pick up. Send pics, and please confirm about the S5DN and that it includes the 360 View camera.
