Traction/Stability Control in G20

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
In my F30 340 and 335i, when I'd have it in sport+ It would relax the stability control.

In the G20 I feel like it's 100% on in sport+. I am all for having it on to keep me safe because I'm not a professional driver. I can feel the power cuts out too quickly in Sport+ when I get on the gas hard.

Am I wrong?

There's another topic running, which touched on this and the consensus is DTC isn't activated with Sport+, as it used to be in the Fxx series models.

One way you will know. You should get an icon displayed for DSC, if DTC is activated. I know over here, it is part of stability systems regulation, to show that the full protection of DSC is changed some way.

The Fxx User Manuals actually state the icon will be active with Sport +. G20 User Manual is silent on the subject, doesn't mention DTC in the context of Sport+.

I'm sure if you push the DTC button while in Sport+, you'll see if it changes the traction status and the DSC icon shows up.

You can press the traction button once for sport traction (which is like controlled slip) and if you hold down the button you will get dtc off.

Sports+ still has traction on. It's a separate thing and makes sense imo

Ah, ok. 1 tap to relax settings, hold down to turn off.. However, like I said I will not turn it off due to me probably pushing it into a ditch.

Thanks.

I thought I had posted this, but apparently not.

This is what I do. It allows the rear end to step out, but doesn’t allow it to go too far. It’s a lot of fun.
