E36 M3 - Cruise Control Questions (LS Swap)

pardon my old name (clk55) I switched to the M3 side.... then completed an ls swap 2 yrs ago.

Car - 1999 M3
Engine - 2002 LS1 (bolt-ons 500hp)
Trans - T56
Diff - M3, 3.91 gears

QUESTION - I pretty much wrapped up this long term swap project.... ac works as of this weekend. CC works in gears 3 - 5...... but cruise control will not engage whil'st in the T56 6th gear OD.

I'm guessing the E36 cruise module is reading engine rpm, and diff speed sensor..... and does not like what it see's when I'm trying to engage CC at 80mph @ only 1800 rpm.

Does anyone know about the e36 cruise control logic.... is there a way to attenuate the signal to the bmw cc module to get it to engage while'st in 6th gear?

..... oh and don't flame or hate for the ls swap.... this car is about to cross 200k miles....... it was burning 1 qt of oil per 20 min track session..... so she was headed to the junk yard w/o this refresh.

Thanks for any help,
Jeff

According this this write-up the cc module only takes veh speed sensor as input....
