Any bets on where the boats going after Philly?
I know I saw some people in Baltimore, Charleston but haven't seen anyone say anything about theirs coming to New York or Jersey.

Have y'all called for an update that's changed?

I was thinking Baltimore since NY/NJ appears to be a few days out but the only site I can find on the Baltimore port says the 16th. Genius' said the 15th when I called on Monday.

For some reason Marine Traffic is coming up with a new place now though. I convinced myself it was Anchorage, but I think it's Philadelphia, thankfully.

Yeah for some reason it's anchored but waaaaay far out. No doubt gonna add even more time. It's probably 8 hours from the port at Philadelphia. I think that anchor point is the anchor point for Philly since they have to go like 20 miles inland on a river

Maybe waiting on a tugboat to pull it in?

If I had to guess it's gotta wait for other ships already underway to get into the bay so as not to get too congested. From what I've been seeing they don't get any tug action til they are almost the entire way to the port in Philly.

I was watching the grand sapphire because it was about 24 hours ahead of the Glovis spirit. It took roughly 3-4 hours to go up the river to the port at Philadelphia.

Seriously tho hoping this ship skips New York/New Jersey altogether tbh

Mine’s supposed to go to NYCPOA according to the build sheet. I’m in Jersey so I wouldn’t have a problem if they want to unload my car at Philly

I wish there was a source that showed every stop and the approximate ETA. I was able to find the doc below but it doesn't seem accurate.

https://sallaumlines.us/schedule/

The Galveston stop still throws me for a loop too.. In my mind I'd think they'd stop at ports in order, then along the way or at the end pick up goods to take elsewhere. Doesn't make any sense to go back down to Texas. But what do I know

Looks like we may be moving into port. Probably gonna be about 6 hours til it gets there. Other ships usually stay around 16 hours once moored.

I called the Genius' and the boat is going to Baltimore next. They're expecting mine to be unloaded tomorrow. Let's hope it actually happens and that there's no snags going through the VPC. He said to expect my car by thanksgiving.

Lol to be fair though, when I called on Wednesday they still told me it was gonna be in Galveston that day. I was like... uhh yeah that ain't gonna happen considering its currently passing South Carolina and going the wrong direction

My point being, I think we sometimes have better access to information than they do lol

I'm still confused as to where Charleston fits in - I suppose after Baltimore.

I called this AM and said it should be arriving today…which obviously isn't the case (re-confirmed I was in fact on the Glovis Spirit lol), so wondering if they only look at the original itinerary and it was changed for whatever reason.

Yeah it seems you're in the same position as me at this point. Lol I guess its going to Baltimore, New York, Charleston, Galveston is my best guess at this point. But that doesn't account for anything given the route its taken so far

I just called Genius. My car will be unloaded at Port Newark ETA 11/19. I guess the ship is going down to Baltimore after Philly and then go back up north to NJ?

Port lists

Hi all. Lurker here for a few days as I have a new 2 series on the Glovis Spirit that is supposed to be delivered to Galveston as well. Looking at all the information available the boat should go Philadelphia>Newark>NY>Baltimore (two different berths)>Davisville(RI)>Charleston>HELL >Galveston. My dealer just updated me to say that it won't be here until early December. Why couldn't they have just dropped it off in Texas first?!?!?!

You're asking the million dollar question. If that is the case and it won't be to Galveston until Dec (definitely starting to believe it at this point), my car will have been loaded on a boat for more than 30 days lol

Exactly. And to think we are paying $1,000 for such a pleasure. I was told by my dealership a month ago it would be here in early November and that it would definitely be here before Thanksgiving. Now they are changing their tune. Just seems like extremely poor planning on BMW's part.
