Slightly off topic, but are any of you concerned about yours getting flagged with a 'stop sale' upon reaching the VPC? I would think they'd be flagged already if missing a part but who knows. I checked my vin and thus far there's no recalls.

Ooof yeah I feel you. I am holding off on my carvana offer just because there's no way I can't have a car . It's definitely causing undue stress

Also that Baltimore ETA is whacked out. The route it needs to take is like 300 miles. 300 miles even at 17 knots is lalmost 18 hours
Edit: thank God it went through the river to Baltimore instead of out to see and around Delaware! Finally a route that makes sense! Last edited by telyen; 11-13-2021 at 04:02 AM.. |

I think they're at BALPOA. Based on my googling they use the Mid-Atlantic terminal. I wonder if the boat will go around the bend into the small channel though because it's right by the VPC. Regardless it's within blocks

So as weird as this sounds I'm not sure where it's going after Baltimore. It just moved from Dundalk to Baltimore where it'll probably stay till tomorrow around 10 am or so...
The next scheduled stop I can find is Newark on Nov 19 and 20, then Davisville Nov 21-22. So where's it going Nov 14-19? I think that's enough time to go back down to Charleston (definitely not Galveston) and then can still make Newark by the 19th. No idea though. That seems like a really long gap to me |

The other thing I'm wondering is where the boat was sitting in Dundalk was a close to what pops up as BMW, but now they're over by Mercedes and Chrysler buildings. I wonder if BMW has two ports in Baltimore or if it's other cargo they're unloading. |

Yup I just noticed that. The berth it came from appeared to be used by Daimler/Mercedes and Chrysler. I'll have to dig into what's around this berth.
Edit: looks like they may unload used cars there. Per Instagram haha |

Maybe its just gonna stay there til it needs to leave for Newark. Seems like a waste of time.
Edit: or maybe it's at another berth lol Jesus it's like pulling teeth. They must have been reloading it for the last day because the draught is back to 9.1 Last edited by telyen; 11-16-2021 at 03:58 AM.. |

According to genius a work order was opened for wheel locks, floor mats and first aid kit. Should be done by 11/19 and to Illinois by 11/21. Kinda annoyed because I asked my dealer if I could get all weather liners rather than the all weather mats and they said no it can't be changed. Oh well

I went Sensatec as I have it in my current E90 and really like it - I am prone to spills and have a pup, and it has held up super well. Haven't really noticed a difference at all compared to other manufacturers' leather (bar an Audi A8 I sat rear row and..wow that was soft).
Basically a coinflip on preference for me + familiarity, so the cheaper option made it a no brainer based just on personal preference. Meanwhile it seems our ship is truly in no rush to leave for New Jersey. I guess that means Charleston is on the final trip back down the Atlantic (not arriving 11/12 per the Genius line lol) EDIT: Apologies if these specifics were already posted, but looks like the exact berths for NJ are online with an updated arrival 11/18 PM (https://www.firstnynj.com/first/vess...le-result.cfm#) GLOVIS SPIRIT Public Berth - NJ BMW 11/18/2021 21:00 - 11/19/2021 13:00 Port Authority of NY/NJ GLOVIS SPIRIT Public Berth - NJ POV (more used cars) 11/19/2021 16:00 - 11/20/2021 18:00 Red Hook Container Terminal Last edited by jkefields; 11-17-2021 at 11:17 PM.. |

Well to add even more to the confusion...
My status went from In Transit to At the Port again. Called BMW Genius and they claim the car was delivered to Galveston yesterday and it currently at the VPC... So I asked her, umm.. what ship was the car on? And she says again the Glovis Spirit. Clearly the car isn't at the port in Galveston if it was on the Glovis Spirit, but what the heck is wrong with BMW's systems if they think that it is at the VPC? |

He thinks what may have happened was it was unloaded from Glovis Spirit at one port and then onto another one and they didn't give us correct information, or misinformed us. He claims it is 100% without a doubt in Galveston right now. |
