That's a hot ride! I'm buying a twin to yours other than the seats! 🍻

Oh and you have seat width adjustment. I thought that was removed entirely from 2022. That's the only thing I'm missing from mine. The seat doesn't cocoon well enough my graceful stick figure build. I have to fatten up to withstand all them Gs.

Do you have Sensatec? From my observations you don't get width adjustment with Sensatec. I mentioned this to about 5 dealers and they were all clueless.

I think I only have seat width adjustment in the drivers seat because there is a delete and a credit on the build sheet

Yeah I thought I was making it up, but finally a dealer confirmed. I checked all the cars with pics on auto trader, then if you build one and switch from Sensatec to leather you'll see 'passenger width adjustment delete' pop up as an option change. From my sample this holds true at least. 🤷🏻*♂️

Yes I see that. It doesn't appear on my option sheet at all. I had no clue this is related to sensatec. It makes some sense I guess.

In my case I did not get neither Adaptive Suspension nor Parking Assistant and I would have happily traded both for the touch screen, but that is me and others may and probably disagree.
Absolutely this. I have the touchscreen but never use it. Hate the smudges and always find the idrive wheel to be easier to use when driving. Whereas having non-adaptive should've been a deal killer for me if I would've known a year ago.

If anyone wants to trade their adaptive suspension for my touch screen, let's talk!

The touchscreen is NOT deleted from our M340xi in production now. Ordered on 8/16, build week 43.

Your orders were both in before the touchscreen removal. It’s a going forward thing.

I’d inquire about power seats.

Hoping you get a touchscreen, but generally I find the genius line to be lacking info.

If your car starts production this week, a VIN may already be assigned or will be assigned by the start of production. Use a VIN decoder to see if option code 6UY is listed. If it is, I'm afraid you have no touchscreen.

Correct, but our build week 43 was right on the line before week 44 when the touchscreen delete supposedly started. There are no other deleted options for our build except the passenger lumbar. I think the power seat delete affects the 440, not the 340?

Tbh I haven’t used the touchscreen much since I’ve got my car. It’s mostly been the knob getting the action. That said I still wouldn’t want to spend that money on a car lacking features.

So, your knob is getting all the action?
Good for you!

BTW, your new ride is sweet.

What VIN decoder is best? Finally got mine today, thankfully. I'm fully expecting no touchscreen and it's whatever at this point, but I really don't want to lose other features.

What kind of discount/credit are they giving for not including the touch screen? It's so crazy to think that you could buy a "fully loaded" 3 or 4 series but have no touch screen, manual seats, no wireless charging, etc. etc. I feel sorry for anyone looking into the used market a few years from now...you would really have to check every component rather than looking at the packages that were initially included. Crazy times.

Not just touch screen either, backup assist goes as well. Plus can’t see how things like Apple CarPlay designed for touchscreen will work very well without touchscreen other then twiddling knob to scroll across each line of apps until you eventually get to the one you want

I never used backup assist but you pay for it so it should be included. CarPlay isn't too bad with just a rotary knob to be honest (had this on my previous Audi's). The rest of iDrive would be a nightmare to only have the rotary knob functioning.
