xHP can be done on a fully stock fully locked car as the transmission module is separate from the main ECU! Highly recommend. I did a big writeup on this a few months ago I am on mobile now.but will link later. No need for unlock at all for xHP, and I was in the same boat thinking this until the fall. |

For me, the most important easy codes are:
They are all pretty mild changes but overall they make a very significant improvement to my enjoyment of the car. BMW cannot "Open Programming" to the Headunit because they use the same components in like 50+ different models around the world and most of the programming is actually just flat out installed in the ECUs. TLDR - If you want to make your car better code it yourself.
