When I first saw the RS6, I could not believe how good it looked. Over time, I still love it. Funny how that works.

This is how I felt about the F80 when it debuted. It didn't have to grow on me. In comparison, at first sight I was disgusted by the big Lexus grill design. I still cringe when I see them on the road. Really disappointed in BMW here. Mulling the idea of a low mileage final year F80 while they are still around.

I don’t see Lexus or Audi as inspiration here. This however has more than one styling que of the G22 which the grill comes from.

Thank you for doing that!

Can we get more after market grill+bumper renderings?

I honestly think there will be a huge demand for an aftermarket "traditional kidney grill" bumper design

I have covered this previously. But when you work with the car or see it standing in the studio. It certainly is a car that gathers attention and as a salient talking point.

Maybe their coffin shape symbolizes the end of M3 and M4?

I like the orange render earlier in the thread better.

That's my re-render of the front of Auto Bild's render giving it a more traditional lower M bumper.

I'm waiting for a call from Ind to get this into production. I'm showing the frameless here because it will be easier to produce. I guy can dream, right?
Already have patent for this one. Lol
Hmm. Actually better.

After looking at this render. The front fender area seems to be very aggressive. Also, the fender vents could be active working vents. I watched a video from a few months back and screen shotted this area with good lighting.

It also looks like the rear bumper is not the final version since its way less wide than the rear arches.

I have always wanted a M3 and the time in my life where I can have one is perfectly aligning with the release of this new model. However if that huge grill is on it I will take my money elsewhere. Maybe we can start some sort of a petition of people expressing the same thing?

It's a big change that people don't like, I do think it's very important for consumers that BMW listening and I hope there is chances to shrink it a bit

At the end it's a great performance car.

In 2-3 years I will get one, I owned all of the M3's and that one will be on mine list too

Like I posted in the other thread all BMW had to do to shut us up would be to do this. And it’s THEIR design!

I wouldn't even complain about the hood line on that design.

And if it came it baby-poo yellow then I'd be even happier!
