2022 BMW M340i Pure 650 Turbo
Hello all, I recently bought a 2022 BMW M340i and unfortunately, after very thorough investigation, its been discovered that my turbo is cooked and needs to be replaced. Seems like the previous owner had an ECU unlock and a tune done but kept everything else stock except the intake. After speaking with my local BMW Performance shop, it was discovered that it is cheaper to pursue a Pure 650 Turbo rather than buying a brand new OEM Turbo. I will be swapping the tune over to MHD Stage 1 once that is installed but is there anything else I should do to support the upgraded turbo?

Just buy a used B58 6 port Gen 2 turbo. People sell them for dirt cheap on facebook pages..Like $500. The pure 650 is less reliable than a stock turbo. The shop is overselling to you. I see you're in Clearwater. If your car is at tuning dynamics, they are 100% overselling to you. They do it to everyone that goes there.
