Oh well, at least, remote update works-- this evening, I'll re-code my custom coding

Here in brazil we started to receive the updates.

I just updated my G20 to 07/2020.54. Lost coding and remap, but everything is ok.

Already did my coding again, and tomorrow I will go to the store to do again the remap.

One guy from a German forum just received a new car (330) from the factory with 11/2020.20 pre installed.
It’s supposed to include new features for the automated driving modes including traffic light recognition with automated stopping at red lights and a city mode for the Driving assistant professional.

UPDATE

After receiving an OTA update taking my car from software version 07/2020.45 to 07/2020.54, I set about re-coding my custom coding, using Bimmercode.

Interestingly, seems like only ECU that really needed to be re-code was HG_MGU; others still had previous values still there

That's great for you, but I prefer my vehicle keeping up with the updates...to include features, but more importantly, stability and reliability for CarPlay and Bluetooth. To each his own I guess? I get that you don't care about the software, but BMW advertised updates as a feature. Also, having that subscription on ConnectedDrive indicating Remote Software Updates as a 3-4 year service. We all know you pre-paid for this in the overall cost of the vehicle. BMW ain't giving handouts, so I would like to receive my money's worth.

Let's agree to disagree on the software, but can we agree this M340 is the best thing of 2020??

For me I dont even see the Spotify built in app in my list of media services after the upgrade to .54 & Even I'm facing the issue via Android auto that spotify keeps pausing.

The Japanese G20 has not been updated since 07 / 2019.39.
When I asked the clerk of the store "Is there an update?", It was "No".
By the way, in Japan, remote software upgrades are suspended even though they can be contracted.
I get angry at the stupid BMW Japan response.

Wow, that's lame... Sadly, most people aren't satisfied with the update process even in one of the biggest markets like the USA. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for customers in other markets where the experience is even worse.

The production date against the VIN is 20 July 2020, delivery date was 28 September after being held back for an additional inspection at the regional distribution centre before being passed on to the dealership.

A coincidence, my G21 330e, has a production date of 17 July 2020 and was delivered to me on 26 September 2020
Also after being at BMW Portugal to solve the problem detected in the batteries.

Mine was also due to the batteries. The distribution centre had to complete a full charge of the batteries. I'm not 100% sure of the potential fault (I don't think it's related to the welds as per the current recall) but it passed! Love my 330e!

Try playing music from a different app like Pandora, then in your car switch to the onboard Spotify. That was the work around for me when the car tries to play on board Spotify and my apple car play had Spotify opened and trying to play it at the same time, doesn't hurt to close Spotify on your phone too.

Hey Edec and Spartanets, I just got mine 330e Oct 2020. Have you guys checked which engine you've got? 20B or 20A? I was hoping for a 20B (the same as in 330i), but I got 20A.
