Still better than paying US Retail price... even with discounts. True, it's not so substantial dollar-wise as it was when you're buying say, an entry level 2 Series. But once you're into higher priced models (like an M-car), you're not saving an inconsequential amount of dollars. It's at least enough to cover flights and hotel.

It was much better when we were getting 7% plus other incentives. Nowadays one could do better (model dependent) by just negotiating with the dealerships

That's exactly how it went for my G30. I was dead set on ED but once the numbers were on the table (incentives not valid with ED) I just couldn't justify it. Kinda miss having the experience. Would like to do it for my next car.

Which incentives are now invalid with ED that were valid previously (prior to the dropped % discount)?

They no longer offer any of the credits on the M cars. The MF is elevated slightly on leases. I believe they also started cutting credits on series cars. I'd have to do a search to confirm...but something like that.

This has always been the case. They're covering your 2nd month payment in exchange.

Which is still consistent with what he said then and now. The M340 RWD will be built in Mexico, the xDrive version will not be. Not seeing where the confusion is coming from?

I think the question on some minds is:
Will those models that ARE slated to be built in Mexico ALSO be built in Germany in order to facilitate Euro-Delivery
(or those that want German-built units)?

I can see neither BMWNA being so callous as to confine the G20 ED program to ONLY the M340Xi,
nor BMWAG rendering the Munich plant incapable of building other variants of the G20 besides that one....

So he's differencing between RWD and AWD? Makes ZERO sense but whatever. Honestly I couldn't give a shit. Have no interest in the car or a BMW made in Mexico

Just pointing out that he's remained consistent. Whether it makes sense is up to BMW. But nobody is more plugged in than ynguldyn

The RWD M340 is only for BMW NA market so far. From their perspective, why build it in Germany when all of them are being shipped to the USA and they have a plant next door. The M340 xdrive is the global model.
