The front is absolutely okay.
But the tail lights destroy everything. I just can't understand how they could stick with this design. It's so boring and has absolutely no BMW design in it. If somebody would show me these tail lights 2 years ago and ask me from what brand it is from, I'd name at least 10 other brands before I'd even think about BMW. But the main problem is simply that it doesn't look good at all. But other than that, the G20 looks nice. |

Hmmm... in this comparison, I must confess the F30 looks sharper and more sporty from the front. The G20 looks a bit bloated and the grill is out of proportion. Sadly enough, I don't think the M kit is improving the situation.

Front looks ok, just the back really screwed things up. I am sure some like it but most probably don't. I am sure car will be a benchmark for most manufacturers.

I prefer the front end of the F30 and the rear end of the G20.

The g20 is like the old Hyundai attempt to rip off the Germans except the new genesis g70 walks all over this Bmw g20. I think you'll see a lot more g70s before you see the g20s.
Those kidney grills look comically large. Like "hey look look look. I'm a Bmw I'm a Bmw!" Trying way too hard to stand out and then you throw those comical lil fog light triangles and the lower grill is a complete after thought. And then the rear.... spent so much time screwing up the front they just said f it and said "let's just copy Lexus since people keep buying those instead of our... we'll trick them into thinking it's Japanese luxury"

G20 makes the F30 look dated. This is always a sign of a successful redesign.

While everyone may complain about certain aspects of the G20 I will say that it likes very modern in comparison to the F30, making the F30 (especially non m-sport) look a little more dated than it actually is.

The L-shaped light bar design is still there, but the outline is missing that characteristic "bump" on the rear three-quarter panel. I reckon that's what the new design language lacks to tie the G20 to its 3-series lineage.
