I was thinking the exact same thing. Normally I can tell if a car is from bmw from the rear, without the badge. If you took off the badge on this one, I genuinely would be stuck between Audi and bmw. Not that it's a bad thing. I think it looks sleeker now. We will just have to adapt to this new age of automobiles. :/

I honestly will have to wait for the m3/4 version to come out before I make my final decision on whether or not I like this generation. So far every iteration m3 has been unique and distinguished in its own way...

I had one and like it but it is starting to look it's age. Granted that Bangle design has aged pretty well considering the E90 was first introduced 15 years ago.

Also digging that, but imo that design really needs the metal bar and light bar there across the rear "cutting" into it to work out nicely.
Wouldn't look as good without it, maybe even strange and unnecessarily large.

We'll see whether something similar could be in the works for the 3 for an LCI (I mean similar shape w/o metal/light bar element), but I have no real issue with the current lights either.
To my eyes, it gives the rear a nicely defined "stance".

Are you serious? I always disliked the cheap looking hood cutover that came straight from a Corolla or Mazda 3.
Everybody has his taste I like my F30 alot. I would not trade it for a G20

Fwiw the F30 was easily the worst 3-series ever made...
