Garage List
Not surprising. I don't remember the last time BMW offered a full option list on first year models. Options are added on a yearly basis and sometimes a more significant update for LCI (new leather options like on the F3X). Perhaps people complaining should hold out instead of wanting the moon for first year production. BMW isn't going to load up the option list, anticipating for issues. As production ramps up, I'm sure BMW will surely and slowly add options.

PLus you can get individual paint - Tanzanite or Gray for extra 2 K

so my build is at 71K i do not expect such steep discounts on the fresh highly anticipated car. 2K loyalty and maybe 2-3 K extra so with 12 K miles my lease is in 900 s
well you can think about it this way... if the car is overpriced, discounts to invoice plus more factory incentives will come very quickly.

Generally you should be able to get to invoice very soon on an M340 unless dealing with the most boneheaded dealer, they are not limited allocation, makes no sense for the dealer to hold one once they start appearing on lots... selling it gets them another. Maybe prior to landing it will be harder to get them to sell their first or second which would otherwise be demos to show the new car off

Yikes - if you assume an 8% discount off of MSRP, you're talking $64,464.40 - but I suspect discounts won't be available right away.

Well optioned (Metallic Paint, Leather, ZDA, ZPK, ZPP, Adaptive M, HK Radio) it would MSRP for ~$65,020, 8% off would be $59,818

Not sure if it is worth the price?

I doubt BMW would have different prices for the packages on the m340i, but its possible if what is included is different for each package.
Is 8% a reasonable discount? Seems high for a new car let alone for this car a couple of years down the road. This is BMW and I have both personal experience and stories from colleagues who went with Merc or Audi simply because BMW just wouldn't budge on price.

Why pay $70k on a new 3 series?
There are sooooo many cars you could drive that are much nicer and cooler...
I'd get a used Aston Martin and pocket 20k for repairs!

I'm paying ~$600 (with 0 down) to lease a 340i xDrive with almost every option (with MPPSK, but minus the Track Package), a 50% increase for the m340i is hard to swallow.
As discussed many times, the days of very subsidized leases is over. You will be lucky to pay 600$ a month for a 330i. If you go on bmwusa.com a price a loaded 330i it comes up to almost 900 a month for 36 mo/15k. The car is almost 60k...if you do the math it makes sense. Sure there will be discounts down the road but a M340i for near 600 will be impossible.

Its great that the M340i is next up for ordering. But lack of a Silver color, that beautiful red and black interior, and no mention of the M performance items is a bummer. Are those sweet 20" M performance wheels available also? I haven't heard anything about those yet...

I look at this like the airline tickets game theory dilemma... bmw cuts lease subsidies under the belief competition will cut their subsidies as well. Instead of seeing BMW challenged by the market to be cheaper we will see audi and merc bring their prices up. (maybe some balance in between)

Red interior will be available through BMW individual

This just brings BMW leases in-line with other brands, which is fine.

It's interesting to see people who currently have $800/month M3 leases balk at paying even more for a regular 3-series. Well, it's what the math comes out to when BMW doesn't artificially subsidize the leases.

I got my custom ordered 2013 F30 for around 10% off, so I'd say 8% is definitely doable. To be honest though, when we recently got our G01, we only got around 6.5% off.

Isn't this exactly the same with 330i MSport?
All other MXXX releases had different options than the standard car.
This one looks like a 340i with MSport, and that's it.

They did?

The options lists usually are the same, it's the standard m performance goodies that separate them.

Considering people are leasing M3 CS's (102k MSRP) for around 800ish, I'd argue 900 for a regular 3 series is indeed ridiculously high.

But that's a special circumstance where they dramatically raised residuals, added incentives, and slashed cap cost for a leasing company to get rid of inventory sitting on the lots for months.

Looking at the incentives on remaining F30s there's a firesale on those too.

I leased my F80 (70k MSRP) a year ago for 700 a month and 0 down. No special circumstances then.

200 more for a cheaper 3 series is absurd in my opinion any way you cut it.

If someone is willing to pay that then that's their prerogative, but most M owners on this forum will find it hard to swallow.

You might see some of those optional items on a 330 come as standard on the M340.

Why on earth does an M340i require an allocation? Unless every model on the lot technically has allocations. When I think "allocations" I think of cars that have (very) limited availability bc they are a fringe car. Weird.

Allocation as in a slot/spot allocated to the order on the production line.

So yes, every car technically has a factory allocation.

I thought Citrin Black Metallic was going to be one of the individual colors. I thought I read that in an earlier post. Does anyone know? I wonder if they will add it further down the line.
