We had a 2003 RSX S-Type 6 speed in our stable for a few years as my wife’s daily. Nice high revving engine and typical Honda MT quality. It also felt and was bullet proof independent how often you took it to the rev limiter.

Honda/Acura’s problem is not bold designs it’s utterly boring, zero excitement cars the last decade except the super car NSX.

Agreed and I noticed the same about “bigger and bubbly” and I hope this is camo. It is common that head and rear light camo. create this bubble large look. If it’s not and the lights are near the size of the F32 it will be a bit of a disappointment.

My point is that controversial doesn't always work. And big grills don't always work.
Acura tried bold and controversial and their sales fell through the floor. They started taking polls of customers shopping for the TL, of the people who chose not to buy the car after seeing it at their dealership, something like 90% said the grille was a major factor in them not wanting to buy the car. Acura wisely worked quickly to change their styling, I personally think they're making really great looking cars right now.

Audi's grille size was controversial but the grilles always looked good, they work with their styling language.

Giant, vertical kidney grilles will be tough to pull off correctly. It's possible but I don't think this 4 series concept looks great from the front. The CSL concept was fantastic, Vision Dynamics looks utterly awful if you ask me.
FWIW, it's Acura!!! The only good things to come from them were the NSX and the 93-96 Acura Integra.
Yeah the NS-X and Type-R Integra.

Honda has absolutely lost their magic ways.

Yup..... like any new model that people complain about it.

The whole purpose of this, is to get people used to the look.

One year later people got used to it and get to see more videos, final product, specs, performance figures and there you go ..... people waiting in the line and droll

I think the headlights of the new 4 will be slimmer but longer compared to the F32. Also, looks like there will be a notch in the middle (like on the G20 headlights) albeit wider and maybe slightly less pronounced.

It's always been the intention for the entry tiers of BMW M. Such as M2,M3 and M4 to continue with the manual transmission.
It was the high end cars that would not implant a manual such as the M5. "Pure" has a different standing meaning "standard" within BMW but there will of course be different tiers for varying performance eventually.

I have not seen the M3/M4 personally but someone who has tells me that they are much more aggressive and that the new facia allows for an entirely different interpretation of the M Packet. With sculpted aerodynamics within the body work and distinctive cooling intake outlines for the brakes and air curtains.

They say it's an aggression and boldness that M is long calling out for to open a more deeper chasm between the M Sport Packet and the actual M.

The kidney grille Is there and there is no denying it, it's happening.
But it suits the aggressiveness of the car.
I believe this car was in a new colour described as a very black-green.

Subtlety and understated seems to be another dogma that will be no longer applicable.

Buy the new jail bars and a cover-up mesh material. BMW corporate suits and exterior Designers must know that everyone thinks that this whacked out kidney grill thing that's going on will NOT stand with their fans and long time customers of the brand.

BMW must fix this poor design language ASAP!

It's a test car. That is obvious. I would wait until you see the finished product before judging it.

In these latest images you can actually see the Kidney Grille has actually been removed with the bars being something temporary.
Look at the grille outline on the body and you will see that indeed the metal frame has been removed.

Clearly, indeed. Hopefully it's a decoy, but after looking at the new 4 Series Concept I don't think it is.

Let's hope they can fix this F-up before they actually produce the damn thing!

A decoy in what way? The grilles are a reality, like it or not. There's no changing that.

One of the best things about the giant grilles is the new front ends BMW is forced to come up with.

The M-sport \____/ and M /------\ front ends were getting stale and predictable IMO.
