Hill holder is feature that holds the car when it comes to a complete stop and you can let off the brakes. It automatically releases after 3 seconds. I understand the slight differences. but seriously, the Park button works for me. |

Ahhh...of course we now have the requisite extra cupholder in the doors! What an improvement! Aside from this tease and the paint burn on the front bumper, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying the standard M sport looks better than the M340i version...opinion, of course.

With the roundel covered, you just have to squint to recognize it for the Lexus it is in the back...

The shifts are just slower and less immediate, which removes the involvement and experience factor in my opinion - again, in my experience, which doesn't include the new M5.

I know any non-manual is dead upon arrival in your eyes, but the dual clutches are really good. And I don't mean from just a "it's faster" point of view. I've had way more manuals than not in my list of cars, but it's not practical for my day-to-day driving experience. I can appreciate what DCT/PDKs bring to the table in the alternative, which is easier to live with for a DD...now, maybe if I get that third garage bay someday.....

BMW: hey Toyota/Lexus, how about I help you design and build the new Supra!
Toyota/Lexus: we accept but on one condition. BMW: what is it? Toyota/Lexus: you will put the IS rear end in all your new 3 series. BMW: |

Interior looks great, exterior not so much. Looks like a Merc from the side, Lexus from the back and BMW from the front.

That's why I like the front, as well as the improved interior, but the rear destroys my love a little bit. It could have been a really good looking car.

I have a MT M2, and a F90 now. I had an F82 MT & F82 DCT prior. All I can say is (personally) the ZF in my M5 is 95% as fast as my past DCT, and 126.5% smoother. Wouldn't have it any other way. |
