My Portimao baby arrived at the dealership today and I'm picking it up on Tuesday. Told them not to touch it with buffer as I am having it ceramic coated in a week.

Wow. Mine is still stuck at the port in Baltimore. I need it to be ready for pickup Wednesday or Thursday next week to keep the locked in October rates

Merry Christmas all impatient people (like me). Random question, but has anyone had experience with “SensaTec Dashboards” in the past vs the normal ones?

Edit: my new build has this feature on it and I’m curious if anyone else’s does and why they chose it?

Finally, my car is showing 'in-transit' again, I called the customer service earlier and all they could say was 'The car was scheduled to leave on the 23rd, but got delayed, thats all I have' - and hour after that call it is on a truck! Yay!

Got a call from my (mostly) absent dealer that the car should be here Tue-Thur. They know basically nothing most of the time so I don't trust it, but I'm going in tomorrow to sign some paperwork.

Nice surprise to get a call at 3pm that your car is ready a day early for pickup.

Hello All- Put my order in last Tuesday. The status has been in “order received” since then. How long does it typically stay in that status before I see progress?

Ask your dealer what your build week is, a few weeks before it should update to scheduled for production.

If I wasn't a flight and a uber ride from the Dealer I'd go sign paperwork too

That is the hardest part, planning for the pickup when it takes effort to get there.

Thanks. As you can tell it's a 330. They gave me an m340 this morning when I dropped my wife's X5 off for service. After driving the loaner for 50 miles I feel like I should have spent the additional money for the M340. No regrets though. The Portimao with the black leather with the blue stitching is gorgeous.
Getting it ceramic coated this weekend. Want to keep that glow. Post pictures of your car when you finally pick it up.

That was my mistake, I was thinking 'oh the 330 will be all I need, the M340i will be overkill' - then I test drove them both, and it erased any hope of me being happy with the 330. Mine will be Cognac interior, so not quite the same, but the same rims, and I love how they look with the blue.

I can't wait to see how it looks compared to my 540i that was Cognac with Mediterranean Blue - Maybe I'll make a side by side picture of the two (I took a couple of it when it was new showing the exterior w/interior color)

Same! Picking it up tomorrow at lunch. Getting it fitted with the 796Ms tomorrow morning so I can weather the winter storm hitting us tonight.

11am for me - we got the winter storm today, so I hope by the time I drive home tomorrow the all season tires will do just fine getting me home.

After 30 days of completion of production, I’m finally on Gentle Leader due for arrival on Jan 2 in port Hueneme. Here’s to hoping it makes it quickly through customs and vpc.
