Possibly real estate with that as our local market is insanely hot atm.

I might setup an account for my teenage son (17) and see if he wants to play with 1k of the IRA funds to inspire long term interest.

If we don't buy a local property I need something I can get back out in 6 months if we decide we want to do the reno, we may buy a property not in our area where we want to retire in 15 years.

My 401k is with Fidelity, can I set up a trading account there and not quite day trade but buy a few of the stonks all the kids like and keep an eye on?
My 401k is with Fidelity as well as my general brokerage accounts. It’s easy to set up multiple sub accounts.

$50,000.00. Nigerian Prince? Maybe but I'm going all in with the Hunter B. program of hookers and crack, definitely not a good investment but whole lot of fun.

The OP posted in 2019 dollars which would be nearly $59k today when you consider inflation.

In spending power yes. I was saying you’d need $59k now to match $50 k then.

I know folks on this thread are really honed in on their eTrade and Fidelity like apps/sites, but these new sites are giving out a crap ton of FREE stock only if you sign up through referral links.

Robinhood is giving away $5-$200 in stock for FREE with sign up and deposit of $1: https://join.robinhood.com/danielk-592e84

Also, Webull is giving 6-12 stocks for FREE of various totals: https://a.webull.com/gzxterxUts7TssZ89U

And if you use any of those links and actually sign up and your account settles let me know and I will kick you a few bucks.
