G20 has a brake hold feature?

Looks like the G20 is getting Brake Hold feature. Based on this picture there is an AUTO H button which I'm assuming stands for Auto Hold. I have brake hold on my Honda and love it. I use it almost all the time.

The current F30 also has Hill hold but its more of a "Hill Start Assist" which hold the brakes for 3-5 seconds to get onto the gas and start.

I don't think it will be hold forever like the current VAG products (VW, Audi, etc). which sit there holding forever with no brake lights as well.

This way at least you get some brake info!

Why would you need the brake hold function for extended period of time other than getting started on the steep hill? In that case the current F3x also have the same function.

we have it on the x3. it just activates the brakes when you're at a stop light or a long wait in traffic so you can rest your feet, apply the gas and it instantly removes the brake pressure....and if you keep it in auto h when you shut off your car, it'll automatically apply the parking brake. I like the feature. my fiance hates it.

OK. I normally would just put it in P, or in N with the hand brake. I like the old school hand brake...

My wife's Ateca has it and it's beyond annoying, especially when trying to park as you have to apply the accelerator more than you would so the car releases the brakes thus losing fine control of the car.

That and start stop are instantly switched off as soon as I start the car if I'm driving hers.

Auto hold works well in the 5-series, very workable with sensitive driver inputs.

If the G20 has the same system, (appears to be a similar setup), then it isn't going to be an issue, plus you don't have to use it. I use Auto hold as an alternative to the parking brake, when situations suit it better.

I sure hope so, because I hate the VAG implementation so much.
