I have CG Precision DS-1 catted that I ordered from Mike at x-ph I am quite happy with it.

I believe AA claims no CEL on their unit (but I might be wrong on that)

I recommend the Active Autowerke for a no CEL guarantee

Other options include Akrapovic, CG Precision and Fabspeed

I would think so but I do not have any comparison dynos

I second AA, I’ve been running it for a few months with excellent results.

It’s actually really simple, once you take off the cover under the driver side dash you should see an arrow on the lower left pointing right up at the push point. It’s embossed in the plastic and dark so just use a flashlight to spot it. I recommend using something at least 18in long so you can see it pushed thru on the other side. Leave it in place, then take the JB4 wire from the engine bay side and secure it (i.e. tape it) to whatever you used to push thru the cover and then pull it back thru to the interior side.

Wow thanks for explaining that and even sending some pics! Really appreciate that. I am going to check my car out tomorrow to find it. Inside the hole, is that the cover pushed in which looks like rubber? I don't see wires from jb4 running through so was just checking if I'm on the same page. Haha I'm sorry I'm new to this but trying to learn!

And also for the AA catted downpipe, is this it?

Great decision with your 21 and congrats! And if you are enjoying your JB4 boy oh boy do you have something to look forward to when the 21 DME's finally get cracked for a flash option (whenever that may be)

On my 2017 340 I started with a box (tried a couple different ones) and it was okay while we waited for the first gen DME's to get cracked - once a flash was available I switched and it was absolutely next level in terms of drivability, overall power and linear power delivery. Fortunately for me my 20 came with a DME that could be remotely flashed so I did it myself at home.

It's good you are running E30...we really need that here in CA vs our 91 crap gas.

I'm in HB by the pier if you ever want to connect and compare notes hit me up.

ps- the LA BCCA chapter is doing a BMW meet and greet next month at the John Wayne Airport - Lyon Air Museum...it looks like it's going to be a great event
