Coding Alpina/M cluster on live cockpit
Here is a picture of the alpina cluster (on a base x3) that I was able to code. The M version (that in the M8) is also available

In the M version, the map area is smaller and does not display driving modes.

Does the Alpina cluster show the Alpina logo? On my G30 with the Alpina cluster, the Alpina logo isn't shown. If the Alpina logo is shown, is there anyway to get rid of it?

No idea. I tried searching for it but couldn’t find an answer. I don’t want the alpina logo either which is why I haven’t coded it yet. I could have test coded it but I hate that the Bluetooth dongle is so slow and I don’t have much patience to code and then uncode it

Yea no. Coded alpina, took the photo and coded back to stock. Though there probably is an option to remove the alpina lettering if you go into expert mode. I tried but couldn't understand a thing in there.

Thank you irrespective. Probably mine is different because I'm on android? Or checking under the wrong module?

I did what @902 mentioned and it worked. No more alpina logo except when the cluster turns on or off.
I'll be running it for a few days in this mode and see if i like it before going back to stock, if i do go back to stock.

Anyone have any idea how or if it is possible to code the M8's track cluster into the G20? Is there any coding to do that with Esys or Bimmercode? If anyone is confused to what I am talking about, it's this layout attached below:

The global layout option had three choices - BMW, M and Alpina. I assume the M is the M from the M5. There is also an option for custom value. They probably might add the M8 cluster in the future there?

I tried same thing. Didn't like the alpina gauges, to be honest. I really like the M gauges, if only it showed what driving mode you were in in the bottom right corner like the others.

This is not just a different layout, this is part of the M Track Mode. And no, you can't enable it as far as I know, at least not yet.

If the M cluster showed the modes, I’d have gone for that. I might try code the M cluster and see how I like it without the modes visible. If I can stand it, I’ll keep that. Quote:
That makes sense. Hopefully someone finds a way to code the M track mode gauge in. I really like it.
