Oh ok.

But is the LCI getting a power bump?

I forgot the thread where someone mentioned when all this was happening. Is it the 24MY or 25MY?

Same dilemma. Buy a MY23 now or just wait for the LCI. I would wait for LCI but with 2 more price bumps and no discounts off MSRP in sight, that will be a lot to pay for different headlights and taillights. Plus depreciation of my current car will make it even more expensive in a year.

Are the price bumps a for sure thing?

Say someone will wait for a MY25 x drive, what would be the msrp then?

Actually, I think only different headlights for M3. And I am trying to get a MY23 allocation now.

Only reason why you would want to wait for LCI M3 Base model is if you want to get the Mbelts, wireless charging and personal e-SIM for "free" and maybe to wait for the interest rates to go down. Otherwise, buy the car now and enjoy it.

Final MY23 allocations should be issued in 2 weeks or so. If you miss that batch, the next one will be MY24.

My dealership told me that they could give me an allocation recently and they expect I might get car in 3-4 months. However, I noticed that there would be G80 LCI in next year. Should I wait one more year for that? Or just get a car ASAP.

If I choose to wait, my F87 trade-in value would decrease more and the MSRP for G80 would increase too.

Guys, please give me some suggestions!
Get it now, that’s what I am trying to do

I did not see the updated Headlisghts and Taillights for 24 models, do you have any picture or renders to share?

Long crank when hot, and engine stumble when cold start - apparently quite a few cases of bad fuel injectors.
Unsteady, rough idle - unclear whether this is due to the above or not. Reported as either normal but some cars have rock solid idle. So there's something BMW messed up and not telling us about.

This is just things I know about, and I've only owned the car for a month.
Man you got a bad car.
That all happened to you?

Nope. It's a digest of what I found in this forum in just a few days.

From serious stuff, I have the long crank, and somewhat rough idle.

My impression so far has actually been that the G8X generation has been quite reliable and has relatively few problems (of course there will always be some, that's unavoidable).

Hopefully that's the case.
Some people mix up these two distinct areas - reliability of the product, and quality control.

Some cars being delivered with leaky injectors is a horrible QC issue. Not a reliability issue and not a design issue.

The product may be designed perfectly but when QC fails, it will not peform to expectations.

That is what the warranty is for...fixing issues while you own the car.

Unless they LCI the g20 again with new taillights I doubt we’ll be seeing updated taillights on the g80. The g82 is a different story.

Potato, potahto my man. Same outcome for the consumer. Labeling it a “reliability issue” is fair if this happens with some frequency.

Those 3, totally irrelevant, will not come for free as the prices will be jacked up more than if you purchased those 3. Never understood the e-sim in todays world with unlimited phone data plans and hotspots. Wireless charging is just blah and super slow. MBelts…

IMO, the biggest deciding factor would be how long the car will be used. Down the stretch, the 2025 LCI will have a better value than the 2023/2024 pre-LCI.

Seriously? Wow, you're an exemplary customer then.

Happy to pay with your own time and money (time you could have used the product you paid for, but instead spent in the workshop doing repairs) of something that quality control should have taken care of when manufacturing the product.
