You can spend few hrs yourself reading, and you will be able to make educated decision. And I am talking literature available on internet.
You must take into consideration that oil choice for manufacturers first and foremost depends on how emissions are calculated. The US has CAFE which encourages use of thin oils. EU has different ways of calculating emissions, which is not dependent on thickness of oil as much. Hence, in Europe all these manufacturers recommend different oils with few exceptions.

edycol Can I have your opinion on the following oils:

Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-30

Castrol EDGE Euro 5W-30 A3/B4

Valvoline European Vehicle Full Synthetic 5W-30

This is for an incoming 2022 330i - which would be the best oil to use?

One of the many reasons this discussion always gets confusing is that manufacturers may recommend different oil specs for cars in the US, Canada and Europe, even though they are the same car. My assumption is that means all of them are acceptable, but country-unique emissions or fuel economy standards are driving the recommendations. US specs for all manufacturers seem to be strongly influenced by CAFE standards.

Pennzoil Platinum Euro. It is more sophisticated oil.

According to Pennzoil's US website, as far as 5W-30 viscosity is concerned, Platinum Euro meets the LL-01 standard, whereas the Platinum Euro L meets the LL-04 standard. It is not always clear which one is being referred to in various online discussions or offered for sale on the web.

That is good point and I was thinking same; is OP referring to LL01 or LL04?
Pennzoil has both in 5W30 grade, but LL01 is really hard to find. Considering that Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W40 is very thin 40 oil, there is no point of looking for one.

You're correct, looks like the local Walmart where I get my oil from only has the Platinum Euro L which is LL-04.

edycol does this work for B46 motor?

Yes. Think of LL04 as thick LL17FE.
