F12 tools showed last week 6/8 which changed to 6/7 over the weekend, which now changed to 6/6.

Are cars being built faster? I've seen a few people start production this week compared to Week 25

Wish my Week 25 would start already, no vin nothing so far.

Originally, I was going to wait and order a 2023, but I just can't get past the missing gear shifter and buttons for heated seats, hvac controls, etc. The new screen is nice even though it's not well integrated into the dash and the exterior changes are decent, but I just think the 2022 M340i is perfect the way it was designed. Using kilter.com, I found an M340i that had most of what I wanted, so I contacted the dealership (100 miles away) and negotiated a trade-in and a price I can live with. Mine is currently In Transit and I can't wait until it arrives!

I would've opted for Laser Lights, if available, but I'm okay with the adaptive LED lights. Would've added the cooling & high performance tire package with the same wheels with performance tires, but I'm satisfied with it and I won't have to wait as long. You're lucky you got your order in! When I went to order mine in mid-May I was told that 2022 production was over and that I would have to get a 2023 (this was before they announced the design changes) but then were able to get a Mexico allocation. Is yours being built at the plant in Mexico too?

I'm with you, I hate when manufacturers integrate everything into the infotainment screen and I was sad to see that almost all the buttons are in the screen now. I do appreciate the larger screen and new iDrive 8 but I think you have to add the $1,900 premium package to have the digital instrument cluster if I'm not mistaken. I'm glad I'm getting a 2022 and not a 2023.

Yes, it's being built in Mexico. The dealership actually ordered this and it had pretty much everything I wanted with a few minor exceptions, so I contacted them right away to secure a deal and put down a deposit. I didn't want to risk ordering one in May and have it end up getting converted to a 2023. The rocker switch and the missing buttons were a deal breaker for me. I could've lived with everything else. I prefer the look of the 2022 both inside and out.

Gotcha! Thanks for posting that website you used. I never heard of that and it'll be useful in the future! I totally agree regarding the rocker switch and missing buttons. Unfortunately I think that's where we are headed…everything integrated into the infotainment and button transmissions. At least the shifter isn't on the steering column like in Mercedes'. I hate that!

Are you sure there hasn't been a VIN issued? Does your status say "Production Begins" or "Scheduled for Production"?

I called the Genius line regarding the production week and was told conflicting information. The first rep told me that the week number given is when production should end and the second rep told me that it is when it begins. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm in Production Begins status but I honestly think that's it just entering the queue and no assembly has actually started. I do have a VIN though.

I see. That's interesting because they told me the same thing and it went into "Production Begins" on 6/7. I have a feeling it's going to stay in this status until week 25 officially hits.

For those on the West coast here is one of the shipping lines that i believe that will be used for transport to PORT HUENEME.
seems like two ships hit LAZARO CARDENAS, which I think is the port BMW uses for west coast, on June 19th and July 19th

I was actually going to ask and see if anyone knew, once the vehicle is dispatched, how long it takes for transit from the factory to the port in Mexico and from the port in Mexico to the port in Oxnard, CA. I'm assuming the car goes from San Luis Potosí to the port in Manzanillo for west coast deliveries and then from Manzanillo to port Hueneme in Oxnard, CA.
