A-pillar wind noise when the sunroof is open

In my G20, I have wind noise in the area of the tweeter on the driver's door as soon as the sunroof is opened (tilt is enough).

The seals on the door have now been replaced and the windshield re-glued. This did not solve the problem. Everything is quiet on the passenger door. Ventilation on/off makes no difference.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

I have now suggested to BMW that they tape the gap with masking tape and see if that helps to localize the cause as one user in a german forum did.

I had a similar issue on my G26 with only a few thousand miles on it. I didn't get the door seal replaced though.

I thoroughly cleaned both the seal on the door and the frame and used a quality rubber conditioner. Solved my issue.

Possibly in your case, the window is not rolling all the way up and while not visible, it is not making a good seal?

The side windows have been replaced with acoustic glazing, which should also ensure that they close properly, but I can have this checked. Thank you!

BMW have now taped the left side and the wind noise is gone. They are in contact with Munich but I would guess they would now have to remove the strips one by one until the wind noise reappears.

Feedback from Munich: The inner shaft strip, a foam filler piece and another cover strip are to be replaced. Under certain circumstances, the components may shrink.
