Help identifying a rattle
I have a 3month old m340i but I've noticed that at times on the motorway (above 60mph) I'm getting a rattle from the passenger door/wheel arch/dash on this side. It's hard to determine exactly where it's coming from but once you've heard it you keep listening out for it!
I had to have the passenger door replaced on this side after someone scraped it in a car park but this was all done at the main dealer. I should also add that a detailer kerbed my alloy on this side so I had this wheel refurbished, could this be a wheel balancing issue? I've tightened up the screws holding the undertray in place on the passenger side as these were a little loose but the issue seems to persist. Main dealer says they can't replicate the rattle and that everything appears fine. Any thoughts greatly appreciated https://youtube.com/shorts/oRI9eKo-2EI?feature=share |

Mine rattles from the left and found it to be the seat belt rubbing against the pillar. Every time someone uses the seat belt it keeps getting caught between the seat and pillar. Just need to flick the seat belt, check that maybe ?
Also regarding the kerbed wheel and reburb I wouldn't be having that. That will I assume was new like OEM. A refurb will never last like a OEM factory finish, that's why the factory give you 3 years and refurb 12 months. I would be asking for a new wheel |

My exact thought as well, it does my head in! However, even after putting it into correct position, down as low as it goes etc it still rattles, I just put up with it now

You could clip it into the 'socket' just to confirm that it is the belt that is rattling.
I think the rattling passenger seatbelt is a BMW thing. My previous car (F36) also did the same and I had to reseat the belt after carrying a passenger.
