Merino leather
I really like my LCI m340i. I have a 36 Mo lease and one thing I would think about next time around is the leather. The vernasca is ‘ok’ and the sensatec dash is a bit disappointing (almost indistinguishable from plastic).
It would be nicer if the grade was higher and (more importantly for me) the coverage better (arm rests, knee pad, door tops, top/bottom dash). Does anyone know the details on merino for g20? - what is the actual premium on ‘full’ (more interested in this) and ‘extended’ merino above the +1500 vernasca cost? (ie is ‘full’ +5000 from the sensatec cost which would make it +3500 more than vernasca) - what is the process (ie the request/approval process) - what are the delays in production and does this apply to all colors (I read an old thread where fjord blue had a longer delay)? |

If you live in the US market, you cannot get individual colors or interior at the moment and I would imagine for the foreseeable future. Which is tragic.

It's a shame. I personally don't find the vernasca leather nice, I much prefer the nappa leather in my Audi's, though I grant it should wear better. Merino wasn't an option in the 3 series when I ordered earlier this year for a MY23, only in the 4 series, but there I personally can't stand the front grille.
First world problems I suppose |

I guess it’s like the steering wheel leather - which is nice. Last edited by ///Medge; 08-27-2023 at 07:31 PM.. |
