I flashed this Tuesday the 6th, I was expecting remote start to not work but I tried it and it did, mhd is honestly the way to go now mission is the best if your only sticking to ots maps.

I emailed them last week and this was their response:

"Thank you for reaching out to us. We are working on it, however, there is no ETA at this time."

I have been thinking of switching to MHD, this just helps the case.

Yea they said they had implemented this feature a bit ago but didn't announce it until recently. So you probably didn't lose functionality bc of that.

I have a early 2020 build...I have a bootmod3 tune currently in place. How can I most easily install and MHD tune on my car to get remote start? or does the whole bench unlock need to be redone?

From my experience, you can flash back to stock but do not “lock DME” or else you will have to get it bench unlocked again. Once you flash back to stock map then you can switch to another tune.

If you want to sell your BM3 license however, you will have to lock the DME in order to transfer the license. Bit of a catch 22.

Yeah flash to the "stock" map but not the original one which will lock your DME again. Once you do that then you can go flash MHD stage whatever.

Confirmed on the MHD fix. I flashed two days ago and my remote start is working normally.

BM3 folks, if you cant wait it out, I would expect a fix from BM3 very quickly. Not only will they be incentivized due to losing customers to MHD, but they'll also be able to reverse engineer the MHD patch. If you can wait a month or two, I'd bet they have a fix by then.

BM3 has their complete CustomROM with flex fuel, anti lag, map switching, etc already on gen2 B58 for almost 2 years, MHD has nothing of such sort ever since. Remote start fix I’m sure is piece of cake and they already said they’ll release it too so whatever.

Bootmod3 also has FlexFuel Canbus integration for some B58 gen.2 Roms. Luckily my car was one of them. But i too am waiting for them to fix the remote start. Hopefully soon..

Just emailed them about it because BM3 and MHD have fixed it. If we can get more people to email ecutek support we can apply pressure to make them do it sooner.

Got an email back. Theyve added it to their list of developments with no ETA in mind. They said people only started mentioning this issue after BM3 and MHD fixed it.
