Nice! I am amazed you found that part considering that the 2021 4 series isn't listed yet for available parts. I'm looking for the grill trim piece (to replace the chrome) and the rear spoiler but I have not been able to find...I might have to go to the dealership to get those.

I found the vendor listing on this forum. my dealer says the Info isn’t out there but these guys in CA have at least some parts listed.

Below are some more random pics pf my new car. I have not really driven too many miles so far, so I just have first impressions compared to my previous 2018 440GC…

• Acceleration is quick and adequate, but it does lack the instant/gut power I felt before on freeway.
• Handling is good with the steering feeling heavy & precise and linear with nearly zero body roll (unlike my previous car)—I cannot really describe it; it feels different and I am getting used to it.
• Visibility is as good or better than my 440 and the cabin feels open and airy.
• Sensetec soft dash is nicer than the hard plastic of my previous car.
• Automatic start/stop is annoying, and I cannot figure out how to get it to stay off without manually pushing the button every time I driveany know how to get it to stay off?
• The new tech: love the surround view, especially having the top-down view stay active when you back up and the move forward (an annoyance with my 2018 440), touchscreen is good and Apple CarPlay is greatly improved since you can now touch the screen instead of navigating with the dial, automatic lock/unlock/folding mirrors is convenient, interior LED lights are cool, Heads Up Display is more expansive now with more options/information but I wish I could increase the size of the speed display, HK Stereo sounds better than before. Haven’t learned how to use the drive recorder
• Seats are harder than previous model but not uncomfortable, much better range in seat height adjustment (I like to sit higher).
• Back seats have great legroom and adequate for adults and kids under 5’10” tall.
• No under storage in the trunk.
• Storage compartment under the light buttons on left of the steering wheel is very handy and the center console is extra deep.

Now back to the looks…everyone seems to really love the color and think it looks like a sportscar. No one has any strong opinions on the grill (like here and in reviews). In person, its just not a big deal for non-BMW enthusiasts. I get why people dislike it and I would have preferred this: https://www.motor1.com/news/426617/b...ut-big-grille/ but I do not dislike it and I do think its cool and different. The entire car has nice smooth lines that you cannot appreciate until you see it in person. At some angles, you notice that the rear is somewhat bloated but at other angles, it’s a thing of beauty. It certainly is a departure from your traditional boxy BMW sedan and looks like a shorter BMW 840 with some elements of the Ford Mustang & an Infiniti Q60.
Re: start / stop atleast on F32 there is a button, perhaps customizable under individual drive mode settings? stop/start I think is also disabled by default if in sport / sport plus mode no?

thank you for this detailed response!

Awesome! This is the build I was interested in seeing real life photos of for a while (Arctic Race Blue w/ Oyster Interior, m-sport package). I caught some earlier ones a month or so ago but it was a m440 with the cerium gray, which I'm not a fan of. Did you have a favorite interior or exterior color, and chose the other based on your choice? In other words, were you set on Oyster and chose the Arctic Blue after? Or vise versa?

I’ve been driving BMW’s since 1990 and this is my 7th. I had black, white and oyster interiors. For some reason, I don’t like black interiors anymore as I prefer lighter cabins. The white interiors were cool, but Oyster is probably my favorite so I planned to get this color on my new 3 series with phytonic blue but when I saw the article race blue in the first photos of the 4 series, I knew that would be my choice. Everyone says they love the exterior color and I think it’s my favorite of all colors I’ve had over the years (second only to Tanzanite Blue).

Also, the chrome trim around the grill looks good, but the shadow line trim with the black grill trim looks better (at least in the photos) in my opinion. Never really liked the cerium grey accents as they often appear to have a rusty/dirty look in person.

VetteGuy Oh, I should drop over and pick it up for you! May take a few months before I get down to St. Louis with the boarder closed and all.

Beautiful car and awesome color combo. If I were buying it would be this way. I was at dealership looking at a M5 and they had a Portimao Blue that looked really nice. Happy driving and happy modding.

Really love the color, great car. I seen one at the dealership and looks way better in person. Actually would've gotten the 430i as well if my wife let me get a 2 seater but grabbed a 2021 3 series instead.

I actually prefer the rear of the 4 series over the 3, much more aggressive. The tail lights look better too. The 3 is pretty bland; guess I need to buy a diffuser.

Thanks. I was concerned about only having 2 doors as well, but now that my kids drive, its not as important as it was before. The back seats are surprisingly roomy so they'll do in a pinch.

Due to my lease expiring, I couldn't wait for the 4GC to come out next year so I was going to get a new 3 series (literally submitted my build sheet to my SA already) until I saw the 4 release and went for it. I was especially excited about the new Artic Race Blue color.

I think the 3 is a great looking car and has all the same tech as my 4, its just a more traditional BMW look and certainly less controversial around here! I've owned five previous 3 series, so this car is a fun change.
