Android Auto has white vertical lines on 2 edges

Hi all,

My android auto screen has 2 white vertical lines on either side of the screen. Almost as if the android auto interface isnt fitting the whole screen. Its much more visible in real life than it is in pictures. Has anyone else come across this? Is there a fix to it?

BMW M340i 20.5MY UK vehicle.

Yeah I've noticed the same in the dark.

I also have this although I've never noticed before until this thread prompted me to look. It appears to be the norm and nothing to worry about.
