Anyone know how to permanently disable steering intervention for lane departure? Every time I untick it, it comes back the next time I get in the car. I tried going through individual setting for driving assistance but still defaults back after I get in the car.

I have the same issue. Not only annoying as hell but dangerous on my roads. It seems they enabled that permanently from July 2020 cars. Those whose cars are manufactured prior to that day even when they upgrade i Drive, they do not get that issue. I guess BMW change something for a car profile. I still consider this an issue. In my case I also disabled door lock after departure and it came back as enabled twice within last week. I just hope it is a software bug. A dealer told me it will be like that. That said during the trial a guy from a dealership unticked the box and it stayed like that after engine start. Thus once I was in the car and wanted to leave it was ticked again. Very disappointed with this.

Noticed an unusual issue today while driving with ACC activated.
Bright sunny day. No traffic in front or around me. Big trees casting very sharp shadows on the road. Road speed only 60 kph.
All of a sudden, the car braked as I went into the shadows of the trees. It did this three times as I passed through three large shadows.
It looks like the ACC sensors thought the shadows were obstacles in front of me.
Fortunately, vehicles behind were a fair way off and were not inconvenienced, although the drivers must have wondered what the hell I was doing!
It occurred to me that if vehicles had been much closer, the drivers might have thought I was brake testing them!

Occasionally when I'm driving the doors will all lock. I have the auto door lock when driving away feature turned on so effectively the doors lock when I start driving then a few minutes into the drive they will lock again out of the blue!

So it's been pretty wet in Sydney and I got stuck in a pretty major rainstorm.

The car got drenched a few times by oncoming traffic going through big puddles and I got the 'safety systems are temporarily disabled' warning from the car. I suspect the front radar sensor got drenched.

Thankfully after about 15 mins its resolved itself!

The parking sensors never coming on at low speed near obstacles!!
They come on fine in reverse, but driving into car parking spots they never turn on, and if you turn them on manually it only ever seems to be the visuals without the audio.

The front cameras will not automatically activate while driving forwards (otherwise they would be on all the time).
If you’re not hearing audible warnings when driving forward and after activating the front cameras, check your PDC setup in iDrive.

While driving forward into tight parking spots, I always turn on the sensors manually via the Parking button. I’m surprised you don’t hear an audible warning as I always hear the warnings.
My garage is very small and my car only just fits into the small space. Therefore, I have set up the panoramic front camera to come on automatically once the nose of the car enters the garage. This allows me to watch the number plate nudge up to the end of the garage (BTW you can also set this up at particular intersections, where your vision of the road may be compromised, so that it always come on - it uses your GPS positioning).
Hopes this helps a little.

Parking sensors at slow speed have come on in every other car I have driven with sensors for as long as I can remember, my old Lexus, it would even put the panoramic view up if you enabled it.

All the settings are enabled for audio.
Having to turn it on every time I am trying to park in a tight space is going to get very annoying.

That's not the case with the 3 series.
