My grill was aftermarket. Was a bit brittle compared to the OEM one, but it was only £35 !

It seems I was a little hasty in thinking the car was faulty. Looks like my wall charger is knackered. Thankfully I had a external 3 pin socket put in at the same time, so ive been charging from that just fine, and as luck would have it, my local tesco have a free charge point. So the whole weekend has been driven in electrical silence. This really is a brilliant car. Even my journey to the office on friday resulted in economy close to 75mpg.

Cant wait to run it in properly and try the extraboost :P

More easy than hard, once you've freed most clips and kept them from popping back in, it pretty much just comes off, putting new one is simply just pushes back on.
Start to finish 15 mins??

Just out of interest guys, does anyone know the running in advice? I'm quite keen to use this launch control ive read about. Just hit 1k miles... I have never run in any of my cars before but I have been a little more careful with this one due to it being a hybrid ( rightly or wrongly).

When I had my RS6 I blasted it out of the dealer from 0 miles, got a call 5 mins later telling me thats no good for it

Since then ive tried to be more careful. I always wait for the cold icon to dissapear before putting it in xtra boost... Hope im not hijacking the thread here, dont suppose anyone knows the difference with the following...

when in sport I select the following
Sport..
Extra boost..
OR
extra boost and knock the gear selector into S.

My question is do all 3 modes give the same performance output? Or does xtra boost standard give out different to xtra boost with the gear lever in S position..

hope that makes sense.

PS all these new car pictures look fantastic Johnboy I am very jealous, that blue pops!!

Jack

It’s in the journey data, you have a various options, you can either look at the journey on the day, or since refuelling and a couple of other data points. Yesterday is did 43 miles pottering about and 33.5 was on the electric the rest were on petrol. I started with a full charge.

Cheers will have to have a look, how are you getting so many miles on electric? We barely hit 20 😟 you driving in hybrid standard?

Thanks Jack, I'm stopping myself for making excuses to the wife to go into the garage - just to look at it lol

Cant answer though, I'm brand new to the car so haven't a clue, would also be interested in the answer
I have to admit i tried xtraboost when i came out of the garage and then thought, no try to reign it in. Ive been pretty conservative myself as I'd like to get some miles on before giving it full whack

I find mine very odd.. some mornings it says 35 miles on the app, yet when I get in, its more like 24 miles. I find the max range after charge is always different every day of thr week

That was with Hybrid pro, some of the miles were from regeneration i guess, but it was all from 1 charge.

Its odd tho, i did a motorway run the other night, and it hardly recovered any extra miles, it was still good, i got 54 mpg over a 130 mile journey. I was driving it sensibly on the whole mind, I only gave it some beans a few times during that journey.

20-25 miles is to be expected in this weather, you have the seats and heaters and lights on most of the time.

It’s Arrived!

After what has been the longest I have ever waited for a car my 330e Sport Pro has arrived! What a great machine, I’m so impressed. It’s nocked the socks of my old F31 330D.

I just can’t wait for the weekend so I can have a proper play.
Just have to decide what grille to go for now.

What would you all go for out of the 3 following options? Or keep the chrome?
