G80 1000M rims on G20

Might be a dumb question but can you fit the G80 1000m rims on a G20?

Bolt pattern is identical (all G-Series have 5x112) but you will need to take into consideration the wheels are larger in width (9.5" front & 10.5" rear) than a standard G20 wheel. Most will depend on your tire size and suspension set up

This might be one of those - if you have to ask the question, then probably not - kinda questions.

1000M wheels are 20x9.5 +20 Front and 21x10.5 +20 Rear.

Front might just barely clear stock strut spring perch depending on tires, but will extend well past the vendor. If you're on coilovers with adjustable top hats, you may be able to add enough camber to fit them under the fendor. Maybe. May require slight fender pull or over fenders too.

Rear is even less likely. Again, larger diameter, much wider, and significantly lower offset. Some folks here are running 10s or 10.5s - using A91 Supra specs - but offsets are in the high 30s or 40s. Another 15-20mm poke isn't going to work without a lot of camber or over fenders / fender flares.

All said, might work if you're supremely motivated, depending on your goals. For large majority, it will not work.

Great information and I fully agree. I am currently running custom wheels & tires (Front - 20x9 ET25 245/35/20 & Rear - 20x20.5 ET45 295/30/20) with coilovers and there is absolutely no room in rear; had to install a 7mm spacer in front to ensure roughly 5mm clearance between the coilover spring and the tire / no spacer in the rear.

I know folks who have installed 21' wheels but like you stated, what are your goals and how much are you willing to invest for a set of wheels. For what its worth, the OP should grab a set of wheels that are of similar design, in the correct size & offset for the G20 and call it a day; but hey, different strokes for different folks

by my calculations the tires (staggered) will stick out 35mm more than they currently do at the back, and 32mm in the front if running 275/285 with dem M3 wheels

also will push inwards by 18mm in the front, no issues in the rear.

in terms of strut clearance technically it will be fine if all your bits are factory spec but even if it remains factory spec you have literally mms to spare in the front. rears are fine.
