Got the VIN can I check if anything is removed?

Just got VIN for my car. Is it possible for me to check what was removed from my current build or is it still to early?

Ask your CA to run you a new Vehicle Inquiry or you can use the F12 process to look at the options and look for deletes.

The instructions are around but can post if needed.

Hey Turtle, could you please post the f12 instructions? Thanks.

Curious if options might have been deleted

The path to look for is as below. A pictorial instruction is somewhere in the forum.

dataContent.ProdVehicleDetails[0].options

'options' has all codes like - options: "0ZAX 0ZDY 0ZHO 0ZPK 0ZPP...."

You can use your VIN in a decoder to get all the decoded information as well.

The VIN is only available for decoders after the vehicle has been built.

There's a much easier way. Use https://mdecoder.com/ and type in your VIN. You can look down the list and see if there's anything that says "delete" or "remove" or "entfall".

As mentioned above, this will not work for the OP. The vehicle needs to be built in order for the VIN information to be available for decoders.

Try Bimmer.work

enter your vin there and it should pop up with all the things your car is built with.

Mdecoder never really worked for me as it always says i've reached the daily limit.

I just received my VIN today.I decided to look up my M340i on the VIN decoder and I was surprised to see that it already has all the specs for the vehicle.Does that mean that production has definitely been completed.

Not necessarily. You can have a full options list of the car before it's even been completed.

OK,thanks. So the specs in the VIN decoder could still change once the car has fully completed production.I am interested in seeing what deletions there will be.I used bimmerwork.

Perhaps something has changed but the details for the VIN were never available on Mdecoder until the build was complete. It could also be Bimmerwork is different.

I just tried Mdecoder and it says vehicle not found try again later.Maybe bimmerwork is able to give the info before production is completed.I can’t imagine that the vehicle has finished production already because yesterday there wasn’t a VIN and today there is.

If you didn't get a VIN until today then it has not been completed. Bimmer.work must pull from a different db.

When you receive the VIN does it mean the manufacturing procedure has started?

How many days after receiving the VIN is the production finished?

It means that parts have been ordered/allocated, not that assembly has begun. The time between getting a VIN and final assembly varies by model. It generally a week or two from what I have seen.

Hi,

I checked today mdecoder.com and finally it displays my configuration.

In production date it mentions : 2023/01/10 does that mean that the car has already been build?
