Turn signal way too stiff?

Coming from the F30 to the G20, I noticed that I sometimes have to wrestle with my index finger to get the turn signal to go up. Does anyone else feel like its hard to make the turn signal off or is it just me? Any solutions?

Mine feels absolutely normal, just like in any other car.
I recommend the trip to the dealer to compare with another G20.

And in the meantime:

I just had mine in for service and was given a 2020 440i GC and the turn stock felt exactly the same.

Mine feels stiff. It's the stiffest turn signal I have ever had. I literally have to smack it. It's always a trial and error when turning. I think they are just further back than any other car I've owned and thus only the very edge of my fingers make contact with the turn stalk, requiring me to exert more pressure to activate the signal.

I'm use to the older turn signal though they went back to a conventional turn signal. It did feel stiff for me when I drive a G20

It took few times to get used to, coming from F30. I use the middle finger.

Seems like you need to lubricate the stalk with some blinker fluid

Jokes aside, I too came from a F30 to G20. A lot of people seemed to complain about the weird stalk on the older BMWs where it always returned to the same spot but it never bothered me. I actually thought it felt more premium not having that click sound when the stalk goes back to the normal position after a turn.

But the stalk on the G20 feels like any other car to me.

I don't unless I'm trying to change lanes and someone is blocking me.

Nice loaner, can I ask what dealer? Thats amazing, I get a huge down grade, and my dealer is so eager to get them back before the job is even finished.

Pfaff BMW in Mississauga. I've had a 440i GC, a X3 M40i, and a few other run of the mill X3's, X5, G20 330i. All with less than 1,000 kms on them so I got a good taste of what they all felt like virtually new (not like some other loaner cars that have been beaten on and have 8-10k miles.

Stop complaining, or BMW will listen to you eventually. This is why we don't have any steering weight anymore.

May be just a bit harder than on F30, but here is a reason for that, guess what it is?
