Electric Trunk Spring Sound Normal?
Periodically the electric trunk (electric open and close) will make a spring type sound on the right side. For me it's only been when pressing the button and having the trunk close.
The car has 1400 miles on it so maybe it's just "breaking in sounds". Trunk functions correctly basically just sounds like the spring expanding and contracting. Wondering if anyone else has this sound either with the electric trunk or manual trunk. |

Not sure if its the same sound, but I had the left boot (trunk) hinge rubbing against the boot trim aperture, whenever it was opening or closing. Dealer adjusted trim and noise was gone. Simple!

To my ears it sounds more like a distinct spring sound. Like when a spring has tension and then the tension is released. It's not loud... but it's noticeable at times. |
