M340i Key Battery Constantly Dying

My M340i Key Battery is constantly dying. Anyone have a solution? I've already changed the battery twice in 3 weeks and I've driven my car a total of maybe 10 times.

Do you leave your key near your car?

I kept my spare keyfob in a safe and it drained the battery maybe because it is made out of metal.
